The Patriot (1928) was nominated for Best Picture (Outstanding Picture) at the 1928/29 Academy Award.
We wanted to review the Best Picture nominated movie The Patriot as part of our bucket list goal to watch every Academy Award Best Picture nominees and winners from 1927-2028, but sadly the movie is lost and there are no known copies out there. Instead, we had a discussion about things surrounding the movie and the bigger issue of lost movies. If the movie is ever found we will watch it and review it, but if it isn’t that will not affect the overall goal since the movie’s availability is out of our control.
Synopsis: Paul I, the Emperor of All Russia, becomes the target of a deadly conspiracy.
